Bio
Pete Maxwell is an Australian DJ & producer currently living in London UK, playing Hard House and Trance. He also plays House and Techno under his PetaMax alias.
Pete has been mixing dance music for over 20 years in both vinyl and digital formats. He started out in the late 90s on 2 belt drive turntables after falling in love with the music played on Fresh FM in Adelaide. As soon as he was able to go clubbing, he became part of the hard dance scene in Adelaide and was a regular in clubs across the city including Heaven and Rise. Pete had a residency at the Indigo Room and played in other venues around the city. Life eventually got in the way of music and he took some time out for university and work, but in the early 2010s his love of mixing was re-ignited when he was introduced to digital mixing and since then he has been honing his skills, focusing on the vocal hard side of hard house.
Pete has played for Tidy/Ideal, closing out the 2017 Summer Gathering Festival and has played on line-ups alongside DJs including BK, Andy Whitby, Technikal, Steve Hill, Dark by Design and Rob Tissera. He regularly played at events for Hard House Korruption and has also played in Brisbane, Australia for Beatwave and played in various Adelaide Clubs in the late 90s and early 00s. Pete has since joined the Global Hard House admin team and helps with social media and promotion.
Pete has had numerous Toolbox top 10s and several number 1s. He has featured on Sin Records, Tempo Trax, Global Hard House and Hi-Five Digital.
